Altec Integrated Solutions has and continues to be involved in the Telescope Observatory and Astronomy industry, supplying controls and automation for the projects.

Altec provides motion control and logic for the main housing, covering such items as rotation of the house, main shutter operation, cooling fan control, louvre opening control and overall house PLC logic.

These projects are large in monetary measures and in physical dimensions weighing hundreds of tons.

Altec undertakes the responsibility of supply by working in conjunction with the mechanical designers to provide engineering requirements from concept/ initial design, drawings and logic all the way through to on site commissioning and site approval.
