Altec has completed, delivered and installed a steel fabricated carriage with full actuator package for Weyerhaeuser Emerson. Our team supplied and integrated a new servo drive panel along with the carriage. We introduced our PLC programming and control philosophy into both the charger and the lathe PLCs, reusing existing PLC hardware wherever possible to save

In November 2018 our team completed the Altec XY Scanner and charger controls programming for Columbia Forest Products. This was Altec’s first project with Columbia Forest Products, involving the installation, calibration and commissioning of the new XY scanner system and taking over the existing charger PLC charger controls including the hand over to the lathe.

Altec’s annual Christmas party took place on December 15th at the Earl’s Loft in Yaletown. Along with delicious food and drinks and a photo booth, the party also included a raffle prize draw. A total of $930.00 was raised from the raffle ticket sales, which will be doubled by Altec making the total $1,860.00. The
